Yeah I'd chill out on that a bit. Colors like that tinted pink/purple you got are the result of that and it doesn't look too sexy. Try to use more natural coloring from stocks and such and use adjustment layers in a more subtle manner to "adjust" what you have.
 
Of course there are situations where you can use adjustment layers in extreme ways to get harsh effects but that's not the direction you went here. An example of that would be Fujis Sherman sig. Very strong, unnatural colors, but they look good because A. He used complimentary colors (pink&green) B. They're more saturated and don't look watered down.

trust me from experience because i went through it a few years ago where i always made crazy colors with gmaps on hue and whatnot. it never works the way you want to, it makes the colors look dry and watered down and ruins the quality of everything youve got going on.
 
there was a time after i did it that like 80% of shit being made had a gmap on hue thrown over it and i hated myself for it lol.
