DIME: We saw in the early 2000s with Shaquille O’Neal that it was obvious that he was going to score – just with his sheer power, size, and skill. It was kind of the same with you in the early 1990s, too. Does Steph compare to that at all? That feeling of inevitability you guys provided at your peak?

Charles Barkley: He’s just a great shooter. It’s a totally different animal.

But he’s more than a shooter, right? Because he’s –

CB: No. He’s not more than a shooter. He’s just a great shooter.

So, he’s not an incredible playmaker? Doesn’t make the game easier on his teammates? Stuff like that?

Of course you agree, you're a Steph-hater

Steph has incredible ball-handling and creates for others. He takes insane shots because he can and does actually make them, but when they're actually running the offense he's been great at using his handles to create space/looks for teammates not just himself

Not a Steph fan more than the average NBA fan

Steph's not even a great shooter, because he's better. Guys like Ray Allen on his late 30s, Peja on his 30s, and other elite players that went past their prime and figured to just rely on their shooting prowess are deemed worthy of being called ''just great shooters'', but steph who's almost maxed out his prime and being the reigning mvp is definitely not just a great shooter. Not even a curry fan.
