Still worth more then JJ and Austin.. at least let us get Crawford and 2 1sts..

Read with the new CBA.. Blake isn't an option since Rose is on the roster.. stupid ass rule

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers are discussing a potential Carmelo Anthony trade that does not include L.A.'s core of Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, or Chris Paul, according to the Daily News' Frank Isola.

A report broke earlier Thursday that Knicks president Phil Jackson was "determined" to trade Anthony, and that the 32-year-old star, whose contract contains a no-trade clause, would at least consider the Clippers as a destination.

While Griffin on the surface may appear to be a logical swap candidate, the current CBA would preclude the Knicks from obtaining him while Derrick Rose still plays for New York. The reason is both are still on their Designated Rookie Max contract extensions, and the little-known rule prohibits a team from having two players on such deals acquired via trade.

Players the Knicks could get in return include Jamal Crawford, J.J. Redick, or Austin Rivers, Isola reports. The Clippers do not currently have a first-round pick this summer.

While Anthony could slide into the Clippers' three-spot and also the four in small-ball lineups, spacing could become a question in such an arrangement.
Anthony is close friends with Paul.

So the Derrick Rose deal fucks us.

I have no faith in Phil. We're going to get hosed on any deal.

Honestly the more I think about, I'd be ok with a JJ/Crawford and 2 protected 1sts

At this point anything he gets is a plus, Phil has zero leverage.

"I don't like this offer Doc - Well Melo doesn't like any other teams, so .."

Phil should have been fired the moment he gave Melo the full NTC. Then he should have been fired again when he have Noah $72M.

IMO if the deal is the Clippers giving up Crawford and Rivers and picks, and what is holding up everything is the Knicks not wanting Jamal Crawford's contract -- there's a perfect team that should jump at this deal

If Brooklyn took on Crawford, gave Scola to the Knicks plus the BOS 2nd rounder this year, the Knicks save $8m of cap this year, and $27m in the future. And the Nets get Jamal, who at worst won't make them a worse team.

Redick would probably be involved, no?

I'd at least ask for some first rounders down the line, that team could still very well blow up soon, even with Melo

People probably want him but because of the NTC Phil's got 0 leverage. And Phil gave him the NTC.

Austin
Wes Johnson
Picks

Gotta do it if your the bricks

Phil better not take Jamal's awful contract (28M for the next 2 seasons lol)

Just wait on doc, he'll cave and throw in redick's expiring contract imo
