that worked out well...Phil would make this team so dirty if they ran the same offense as 04
Shaq-Dwight
Malone-Pau
Fox-Artest
Kobe-Kobe
GP-Nash
They lost in the Finals, and Pau is significantly better than an old Malone, same for Nash to an old GP.that worked out well...
LOLThe Los Angeles Lakers met with Phil Jackson on Saturday about their head coaching vacancy, but didn't reach agreement on a deal.
The Lakers intend to speak with Mike D'Antoni and Mike Dunleavyabout the position in the coming days.
Jackson, however, is considered the overwhelming favorite to become the team's next head coach.
Mike Dunleavy and Jim Buss met on Sunday for about 90 minutes to discuss the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching vacancy, according to a source.
The meeting went well and Dunleavy will strongly be considered if Phil Jackson doesn't accept the position.
Dunleavy was head coach of the Lakers from 1990 until 1992 and was most recently with the Clippers.

LeBron James played under Mike Brown for several seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and was surprised by his sudden firing as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers after a 1-4 start.[/background]

"I think it's unfortunate," James said Friday. "I just don't think he got a fair shake, honestly. With the shortened season last year, and five games into this year, he didn't really get a full season."[/background]

James was publicly silent about the fate of Brown after the Cavaliers were eliminated in the 2010 NBA Playoffs.[/background]

"I've got a lot to say, but I'm not going to say it right now," said James. "I wish him the best, but I just think it's unfortunate and it's just, you know, how the league is. They can do what they want to do."[/background]
