The UFC is in serious talks with former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to have him fight at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas, multiple sources confirmed with MMA Fighting.

Both sides are close to finalizing a deal, and if all goes well, Lesnar's return to mixed martial arts could be announced imminently.

While talks are progressing well between Lesnar and the UFC, an opponent for Lesnar isn't close to being finalized. It is unclear at this time who is under consideration.

If this new deal can get done, there's a great chance UFC 200, featuring the return of Lesnar, would break that seven-year-old record.

idk how this'll work with his wwe contract but this comes from ariel and dana fired him for breaking stories too early.

I don't see how the WWE would let him do this while he's under contract.

Whatever the UFC promised Vince to get this fight made must be pretty big.

I'm excited for this. Brock's MMA career was robbed by diverticulitis. I know he has felt like more was left in the tank.

Ariel Helwani was kicked out the building yesterday and banned for life by Zuffa.

Funny how they get mad at a journalist for doing journalism.

its because they have to be the only ones announcing things.

The Helwani situation is just the latest for me and my constant rooting for Zuffa to fail. I know its a long shot but the UFC has become too damn big. They continue to control the ad money going into individual fighter's pockets and are now dictating the media coverage. What a crock of shit.

or they'll both gas out. good thing its only a three rounder. it'll be a good finish either way.
