With Mat Gamel tearing his ACL last week, the Brewers are on the search for a new everyday first baseman and according to sources, free agent Derek Lee is on their radar. Lee hit .267/.325/.446 with 19 home runs and 59 RBI last season between the Orioles and Pirates and recently told Ken Rosenthal he'd be open to continuing his career for the right opportunity.

Milwaukee is also reeling after the knee injury suffered by Alex Gonzalez.

I don't know if it was Derrek Lee's unrealistic salary expectations that left him without a seat when the music stopped in the off-season or what, but he's good enough to start at 1B for a decent amount of teams in this league.
