The Brewers are indicating that they're out of the running for Fielder and are moving on, tweets ESPN.com's Buster Olney.

Well, I'm not necessarily shocked. Before they resigned Braun I had the assumption they would either retain Braun or Fielder, but probably wouldn't be able to keep both.

Seems like Orioles are interested but not known how serious they are, and Nationals are focusing on pitching and most likely won't pursue Fielder or Pujols.

So who's left in the running then?

Sounds like the Orioles are going after him but other than them I haven't heard much else.

And the Mariners have popped up once or twice, and that if they signed Fielder they'd probably trade 1B Justin Smoak.

Fielder prefers teams east of the Mississippi River and teams that can win the World Series in the near future. The list of known interested parties includes the Brewers, Mariners, Cubs, Rangers, Blue Jays, and Nationals.

Really weird FA market this season. The major spenders, the Yankees, the Red Sox, and the Phillies, all have a ton of money committed to 1B and the majority of the teams in the market for one either don't have the money to sign them or it just doesn't make sense to sign them because they're rebuilding.

I think Pujols goes back to the Cardinals and Fielder ends up somewhere that nobody is expecting. Something tells me the Rangers swoop in and steal him if CJ leaves. Just imagine a lineup with Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Michael Young, Adrian Beltre, Elvis Andrus, and Mike Napoli.

Maybe I'm crazy but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Orioles sign him. Not very likely but wouldn't be a surprise.

Could you imagine how much stronger the AL East could be if either Pujols or Fielder signs with an AL East team? Just hoping one decides on Toronto :D.

Here's Toronto's case...

There is some thought that Fielder, a first baseman from Florida, might prefer to spend the rest of his major league career in the east after five full seasons in Milwaukee.

A CBSCleveland.com report over the weekend said Fielder has narrowed his choices to three teams: Washington Nationals, Brewers and Blue Jays.

But there is a cost. However, Jays president and CEO Paul Beeston has said previously that the team payroll could increase to $120 million from $70 million.

Plus with the new Wild-card rule coming soon, it could be more attracting for players to sign with the Orioles, Jays, and Rays in the AL East. I'm just dreaming to see a 3-4 punch of Bautista and Fielder.
