Milwaukee Brewers hurler Zack Greinke(notes) had a tough outing Sunday for the team's Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds, giving up two runs on three hits in 2 2/3s innings.
Greinke, who threw 54 pitches, faced off against fellow former big-leaguer Jeff Suppan, who is now in the Kansas City Royals' system, in the game.

The former Cy Young winner, who joined the Brewers this offseason after seven seasons with the Royals, is on the disabled list, of course, because of a cracked left rib he suffered while playing basketball.

"Maybe the velocity was still there, but the control wasn't that sharp," Greinke said, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "When that happens the control has to get better, and it didn't. Through almost the whole first two innings I felt real good. But they had a couple long at-bats and I hadn't really had any real long innings yet."
MLB.com notes that Greinke will start again for the Sounds on Friday night against the Albuquerque Isotopes and could return to the Brewers on May 4.
