lol, he hasn't played a single NBA minute yet
doesn't change the fact that his game doesn't translate to the NBA.

Remains to be seen. I'm confident none of us have a higher basketball IQ than Pat Riley does so.......yea :)

lol, they coveted Napier because of the need for a PG and the fact Napier was the best player Riles could've traded for at that spot.

And I don't get this "his game doesn't translate" argument either.  Sounds like armchair quarterback BS.  Napier is smooth ball-handler with a decent crossover.  He can create space and keep defenders on skates.  His biggest problem this Summer League has been turnovers, of which he's improved with each game.  Too smart and too willing to play for the big moment to fail in the NBA.  I'll buy the argument he may not develop into a starting point in the NBA but he's absolutely an impact player coming off the bench, at the very least.

He's not that undersized, but you'd like him to be bigger, he's not explosive, his jumper isn't great, not a very good defender and doesn't really have the physical attributes to improve their that much, poor decision making, settles a lot.

I don't even see him as a very good role player, because his play style is not indicative of a role player, it's of a star, but he's not talented enough to be that. It's a difficult transition for guys who star at the college level that have to change their play style significantly because they lack important physical attributes such as size, athletcism, and so forth.

He would have been a mid 2nd round pick if Uconn didn't win the tourney.

Getting into arguments with people about Shabazz Napier is becoming tiring

Pros & Cons but what else is new? Your crystal ball is no more shinier than mine. Guess we'll watch it play out and revisit the conversation.

First round NBA draft picks don't "suck."  No need to hate.
