With the deadline coming up, this thread is needed. The Jays could see many faces come and go.

The Phillies are interested in Jose Bautista, according to a report from Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun.

Philadelphia would move Bautista to third base.

They need to trade will he has value. I honestly can't see Bautista having another season like this. How much do the Phillies have left to give up though?

A day after dealing away the team’s first baseman of the future, Toronto Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos has gone out and made a trade on Friday for another corner infielder.

Unconfirmed reports say the Blue Jays have acquired Mike Jacobs from the New York Mets for a player to be named later.

Jacobs, a 38th-round draft pick of the Mets back in 1999, has also played with the Florida Marlins and Kansas City Royals during a nine-year Major League career. He is 29.

The left-handed bat enjoyed his most productive season in 2008 as a member of the Marlins where he hit 32 home runs with 93 RBIs in 128 games.

This season, Jacobs has toiled primarily for the Mets Triple-A team in Buffalo where he is hitting .321 with 25 home runs with 93 RBIs.

On Thursday, the Blue Jays traded minor-league first baseman Brett Wallace to the Houston Astros in exchange for centre fielder Anthony Gose.
Nice depth move. He'll hit a lot of home runs in Vegas.

Snider is also back today. Yay.
