You made it sound like they've failed for years to sign a star next to those two. It was just one off-season lol.

I thought it was pretty significant with the comments harden and Dwight made about it being their team and all and everyone else is a role player.

Also thought it was significant that bosh chose on paper a much worse team to stay in Miami

They didn't have max cap space after they signed Dwight initially, at least I don't think they did, considering they still had Asik and Lin.

It's been two offseasons, hasn't it?
Dwight wasn't there for the full time in the first one plus I'm not positive they had cap room

He chose money, like a lot of guys do.

And L's. Lots of L's. Granted that team wasn't supposed to flop like they did

Melo chose New York and money over Chicago, but it's not like that means no one wants to play there.

Signing a star is hard, just because you haven't done it doesn't mean you aren't in the mix/don't have the capability. If guys are willing to visit/consider them, they're a player. All it takes is one guy.

And Dan don't ignore the whole Parsons thing. He easily could've waited until after the Bosh thing was over with and resigned. He didn't want to go back.

dwight and james really seem to have a shitty stigma about them in the league. that's huge. aldridge doesn't seem like the guy who wants to be around people like them too.

Why would he wait to sign the offer sheet? That's guaranteed money, it's not his problem if the Rockets are held up on something else.

And as it turns out, the Rockets just weren't willing to pay that contract. They still could have matched.

This whole James/Dwight separating themselves from everyone else is also a stretch to have an argument around. Even if that was the case, why would that matter to a star? Clearly, they would be welcome at the cool kids table at lunch.

Would you willingly go to a team with over 5 members with confirmed cases of LBS though?!

They weren't good before he went down either.

He never played with Dragic.

That's beside the point, considering Dragic wasn't a part of his decision when he resigned

Bosh chose Miami, Money, Family, bigger role, and Pat Riley
Not a big deal. It sucks, but can't blame him at all
