Some Blazers players have already said they are worried free agency will take Aldridge away from Portland this summer. Earlier this month, before a home game, a Blazers player estimated the chances of him returning to Portland at 50-50.

"I don't want it to be perceived that I'm not happy, or I'm not staying on because I'm not signing a three-year deal,'' Aldridge told The Oregonian last July. "It's just financially smarter to wait ... and I'm looking forward to signing the five-year deal when the chance comes.''
But one Blazers player cautioned that Aldridge already has enough money. Happiness is what he is truly seeking, and that could be found in being closer to family in Texas.
It's the tricky thing about Aldridge. No one ever really knows where he stands. He is fickle. Moody. And unpredictable.

But man, free agency in 2016 and 2017 is going to be nuts. Almost every team is gonna have a shit ton of room.

Teams also don't have to worry about a repeater tax after next year given there is no way they'll be near the luxury tax threshold, so teams can overspend this up coming off-season too.

Thats what I was thinking. Im guessing the Rockets cant fit in LMA now? With Arizas contract I dont think so.

Perfect scenario. Wish he'd come up North though. He can complete a team like Toronto.

He's Dirk's replacement. He's from Dallas dude.
ok so he goes to replace dirk and has....uh.....monta? As a sidekick?
Just stay in portland then

Or he goes to san antonio and has kawhi, pop, and a great FO. Plus Duncan can start next to him for another year or two

Hmmm...

A trio of Harden-LMA-Dwight is a great starting point while having Ariza. Thats a title contender right there. Dwights not fit to be a #2 anyways. I like that a lot.

Up until now big free agents haven't wanted to go play with those two. Maybe this year changes things but I doubt it

This past off-season was the only year they could offer a max contract while they had Harden and Howard on the roster together
