Looks good for the Astros. Whitley is going to be special.

And they didn't give up a whole lot to get Cole from the Pirates.  They made a really good trade.

Moran was the best prospect and he is blocked for a long time. Musgrove was going to be solid in the pen and spot starts. Both will get a good shot at significant playing time in Pittsburgh. Pirates will like them

The Pirates got some good talent, certainly, but the Astros did not give them their best prospects to bring Cole into camp.
The Astros are giving some good players a real chance to play in the bigs and improving their rotation at the same time.  It is a good deal for both teams.
