He has been lauded by the Giants for how well he's worked with hitters in the past. Barry is a lot like Manny Ramirez in that there's so much of a circus that surrounded them, you forget how much they really know about the game. Barry may have been a PED user during portions of his career but there's no doubt his raw ability and knowledge for the game is what carried him into MLB to begin with.

Great post and great points. Barry was great before the PED use. He had a great mind for the game, and Manny was another guy that was a great example of this. Very valuable to young players and would be a great impact on an organization like the Marlins who have some nice young guns.

Bonds has the ability to explain what he sees to others and get them to see it as well. He was one of the hardest working players in the game. I wish him the best.

The Marlins have named Barry Bonds their new hitting coach.

I think this is a great move.

Barry Bonds is going to be a great coach I believe, but not with the Marlins. The Marlins are an awful organization and he can't help that.
