The Article Team is back and with a flare! New features and New Sections and more. After long thoughts and speculation, here is the new release of how I want this article team ran.

Sportz Reporter
The new edition to Sportz Insomnia, here it is. The Sportz Reporter is a section where members may signup to write for a sport they love and are able to produce a story every two weeks. Now the rules here are not as hard as being a feature writer. Depending on the sport, each sport is responsible for releasing an article every two weeks. The main sports I have chose to have specialists our:

NBA, NFL, MLB, News, and other Sports (hockey and soccer, would like to have at least 1 NHL, and 1 Soccer, and 1 person who can write about like the WWE, or even boxing or tennis or even golf)

Now so it is not confused, this is how I want it to work out. Each sport is responsible for releasing an article every two weeks. Sounds a little tough, but there is two of you. I don't care how you two decide to work it out, I just want each sport to release an article every two weeks.

What are these stories supposed to have? Well, the featured writers are assigned to writing an article about anything in any sport that is more in-depth. I want the Sports Insider articles to be more of a news article. I want an article every two weeks that is either a newsletter on those two weeks in sport, or a story on an event coming up, a preview, review, etc. about something that is going on in that sport right now. I will even let you write an article that is more of a biography on possibly someone retiring, etc. This is where most of the articles come out of.

I don't care how many writers each sport has, each section is responsible for releasing an article every other week. This is not hard if you have 3 people on the team for one sport. You may take turns, or you can work together every two weeks to make an article.

Punishment will vary. If there is one writer for the MLB for example, I might be more leniant on them if they have not written an article in 2 weeks, yet they have been consistant, because I know writing an article every 2 weeks on one sport is hard. But if your entire team is lacking, depending on how bad it is, I will talk to each person on the team personally to see if there is a problem.

What I personally think would be a good idea, is for each person who is on a sport with multiple people is that you know how to contact each other. Give out each others e-mails, and AIM's, so you know how to contact. I also suggest assigning a leader of your little team. This leader is someone who the final product goes to, they have good communication with an editor and his workers, and he is not to pushy. Just a suggestion, depending on the sport.

The max for most people on one sport to write about is 3. This is because I do not want one team to become to big. We will be choosing the best 3 writers we feel to. This can be competitive and you need to be good.


Featured Reporter
Now, this is a more legit position but it requires for more self-determination and self-discipline. Featured writers are like the normal article team. They are people who are possibly more determined to be a sports writer.

A Featured Reporter is responsible for releasing an article every two weeks. And I am more serious this time. I will not be as leniant, I really do want an article every two week. If you have a family issue, or something, come talk to me, and I will give you a bit of a break and your time will be put on hold until the issue is resolved. But I do not want a stupid excuse, if you say you are on vacation but yet I see you on the board a couple hours a day there will be suspension, NOT BANNED, I mean we will be keeping a close eye on you.

A Featured Reporter is someone who gets the flexibility to write about anything they want. Write an inside depth article on a subject you find interesting, do a biography on somene from any sport or event in the world. You have earned the right and we want to show the world how great of a writer you are.

Punishment is different, I will talk to anyone who has not written an article in two weeks, and if they do not produce one, I will work the system a lot like how the multimedia/graphics crew is worked right now to. Probation will be issued to anyone who is not working, and if they continue not producing, they will be off the team.

This is a very dedicated job, if it is to much, I request you move to the Sports Insider where you get help from other writers and you don't always have to constantly produce articles.


Writers Lounge
Keeping it the same, just locking, each writer/editor, will be allowed to view. Here writers can get inside tips, and ideas to write about.


Articles Archive
Same as it is, will not change. Articles which are old will be stored here for reference.


Tryouts for Team
Same, people whose opinions go through is all the writers and editors. They know what to expect, and they will make the final decision.


Other:
I will make the Meet the Writers thread and pin it on the front page of the Article Section, like when you click article team, scroll down, and it will be right there pinned. (Don't worry editors, you will have your own part to) It will include general information, favorite teams, and more more.

People can still request an article, it will be in the same place as the meet the writers thread.

Josh10_10 or whoever decides to run the Get to Know Articles, you are a featured writer, you will follow the rules they do.

Editors, you are a key, your key is to make sure these peoples articles are produced, we need production, and so try and find time to really get these edited and up to par. I don't want to many editors, for now, only unc23 and jarrod2323 are editors. Tryout if you have great editing skills

Post here if you want to be a Sportz Reporter or a Featured Reporter. In all, you need to tell us which sport you want to write for (Sportz Reporter), and why you believe you deserve to be a Featured Writer?

If anyone who is not currently on the article team would like to join and become a Sportz Reporter, you must tryout in that section.

You are definitly good enough, I would definitly put you in the featured reporter because you put out a lot of good, and sometimes controversial articles which is needed and sparks conversation.
