our secondary= complete garbo
we still got some work to do. I felt kinda bad tho. As well as the falcons did throughout the season, I feel like the fans couldve shown a little more respect at the game. The place cleared out after halftime, and on the news they were showing crowds and crowds of "fans" leaving all at the same time in the 3rd quarter. Sure, it was awful, and yeah I wouldve hated to be there, but a little more respect coulda been better...

This loss hurts so much tho...

Thats our main problem. When GB was doubling on John Abraham no one else stepped up. Our secondary was almost nonexistent. We gotta improve our entire defense. You're right about the O-Line too, can't allow them to eat up Matt like GB did smh.
Yeah, no pass rush didn't help much either. Then again, Aaron gets rid of the ball pretty quick. I had a feeling the Falcons defense would struggle, just not quite THAT bad.

Yup, and whenever he would get rushed, he'd escape and guys would get open for him. I saw him either get it out quick for a completion, or scramble out of the pocket to extend the play, for a completion. He was very impressive.

It isn't even that the Falcons defense is that bad.

They got a good Dline, Couple good linebackers with decent core.. and a good secondary.. maybe the Packers are just good offensively.
Its not like I don't root for the Falcons in the playoffs (because basically 65% of the Falcons now are former Jags and the ties to the Jags) I just hate how people claim its so impossible for the Falcons to lose because Matt Ryans home regular season record.

Yeah, I can't tell you how many times he escaped out of a sack and either took off (Run) for a big gain or threw for a big gain. He played great, kept alluding tackles, Green Bay definitely has their QB.

Bears are going to have their handfuls with him, and they know it. I was always hoping for him to get his chance, when he was waiting in the wings behind Favre. Now look at what he's done, and still very young.

As for the Falcons, Matt Ryan has already accomplished so much in his career. I really started to buy into the Falcons this year. I thought having home field advantage would be a shoe in for them. I really didn't even think of them losing. I took the simple route. Thinking Patriots/Falcons SB because they both had home advantage. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Falcons should be back in the mix of things again next year.

on with another note, 2-3 years down the road, I can honestly see this team looking like the middle of the decade Patriots. I got a lot of faith and trust in what Dimitroff and Smith are doing and whats weird is they are so confident in it but like the Patriots were built it was without splashes. We don't add the players we think we should add or make big splashes in the FA market. I think Dimitroff has to be a top GM in the game at the moment and with the team the Falcons have, I fail to see who could beat Smith out for coach of the year, as quietly as we strolled to a 13-3 record(and I'd like to know where people see it as a schedule when we had 4 games agaisnt the Saints and Bucs, played the Packers and steelers. I mean it wasn't a cheap schedule.

a good secondary? ranked 22nd against the pass
When looking at a secondary, you can't look at stats vs the pass.
You have to look at talent, which the Falcons have alot of. This day and age in the NFL.. theres tons of 300 yard games every week, they're going to happen. You're going to get thrown on, regardless of who you are.

Brent Grimes
Robinson
Brian Williams (good Nickle CB)
Christopher Owens (young, alot of upside)
William Moore
Thomas Decoud
Eric Coleman..

All quality players there.

i'm just not much a fan of our secondary. I like the front 7 but outside that not a fan.
