Fine him out the ass for missing training camp and refusing to practice. Suspend him 4 games. New shit arises within 4 weeks? Suspend him again.

Don't just cut him. Make him pay. Assuming the language of the contract is standard, his guaranteed money is void if he doesn't suit up week 1. In other words; he will owe Oakland money for the headache, never get paid a dime from the contract they signed him to, and he won't get to play for another team until they say so.

The Raiders stood firm on Mack (during the Gruden/McKenzie era) to prove a point. They should do it again now (under Gruden and Mayock) to speak a similar message to the current team, as well as any players who may come here in the future, that this is business and we aren't fucking around.
