As most suspected, New York Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire has declined to exercise his early termination option and will return to the Knicks for the 2014-15 season to finish out the final year of his five-year, $100 million deal, a league source informed CSNNW.com.

He is opting in, said the source that spoke on condition of anonymity because an official announcement has yet to be made. If he had chose to exercise his ETO, he would have become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The point is, he's not worth anywhere near 23 million.

Amare was actually decent. Seeing as injuries have been creeping up on him, I think this was a good step. We will see next year. Next year is possibly his last year according to him. Said he might wanna retire a Knick and play in Israel.

I heard the Knicks front office was hoping his knees would give out and he'd retired so they could void his contract haha
