It's hard to let the QB's do anything when they're throwing it to the opposing team and 100 feet away from the intended WR, that's a problem. So, you are saying you trust Alex Smith to be your QB in the future? I bet 99.9% of 49ers fans would disagree with that.
I trust Alex Smith, past 3 games he's played, 6 TDs, 0 INTs. Is he the future of the 49ers??? Most likely not, but there are no better options, and when he's given a chance, he can play well. He did so against the Saints, Eagles, and Seahawks, and when he was allowed to just run the spread, he can put up points, plus he's the most efficient QB in the red zone this year (I think according to the stats).

Alex Smith didn't last a chance Thursday night against the Chargers, the offensive line couldn't protect him whatsoever. Smith didn't get any help, so hopefully he's the starter again next week.

I'm getting sick of the playcalling. I hate those screens they try to set up with Delanie Walker, they don't do anything. Plus when they run the ball, it's always extremely obvious as they have two tight ends and a fullback and only 2 wideouts sometimes even 1. But seriously you see Alex Smith struggling EXCEPT in the 2minute drill where he gets to call his own plays which actually work. When you see Singletary on camera he's always just clapping his hands or just watching or yelling "Let's go!" I mean yeah he's motivational, but can he adjust the offense at all? He's gotta realize that and then I'll believe that the Niners are a playoff team.

But seriously the cornerbacks SUCK. Clements SUCKS. Spencer is meh. Clements either gives like a 15 yard cushion or jumps on the route and gets faked by a double move.

Can't believe Justin Smith got thrown out of that game, he barely touched the ref, lol. Guess that's all it takes. Safe to say Alex Smith probably will not be with the 49ers next year.

I would love to see Smith get a chance on another team. Lots of teams need a QB, Washington, Cardinals, Bills (kinda), Panthers, Bengals...I honestly think Smith can flourish given the right situation.
