having talent signed around you doesn't make you a good manager. We saw how much he sucks as a manager since he has screwed around with Joba. If he played his cards right over the last two years and decided either "starter" or "reliever" the kid would be much more productive.

Yeah he won the World Series but personally I think thats because of the talent they signed and put on his team. Girardi will not win MOY. Rivera will not win the Rolaids relief award, I have a feeling someone else will snag that award -- maybe a guy like Papelbon or maybe even Andrew Bailey could turn some heads and have a better year closing out games.

I keep on forgetting about Verlander, he's a definite strong contender for AL Cy Young.

AL Cy Young is a tough one in my opinion but I actually can see Liriano taking it like elcheato said but every since Doc went to the NL, all I see is Beckett, Felix, CC, maybe Verlander. I'd like to see Romero put up Cy Young numbers (Not saying he's going to win) this year and surprise a few.

If he works on his control, he would have a great chance of winning it. I have a feeling Halladay's gonna win it though. He's had succes in the AL and we all know that AL has better hitters than the NL.

It's Johan. Not Roy :p. Plus he hasn't been that bad. It's not like he's been horrible. Injuries killed him last year.

I bet Kershaw never improves upon his ERA from last season.
