They probably sold high on Eaton.  The nice thing is that at his cheap contract his skills should not erode much during the time they have him and offers some protection if Bryant leaves in 2018.

Eaton is a top 5 RF, but not CF. Idk why, maybe Brett who sees him play regularly can explain, but according to Baseball Referebce his dWAR at CF dropped drastically from 2014 to 2015. I mean like, he was a -1.1 in 2015 with a high oWAR, the complete opposite of his dWAR and oWAR in RF this year.

In Washington he will undoubtebly be the every day Center Fielder. Unless he was playing through a hamstring injury or something im not aware of, this could really hurt his value.

Facts don't like.  In RF in all of baseball for 2016 he was behind only Betts

The Nationals gave up a lot, but it feels like the market has been increasing for everyone.

2015 was some nagging injuries which is why he performed so poorly.  IN 2014 he was a finalist for the GG IIRC. 
In RF, he was incredible.  I want to say fangraphs did an article on him like two days ago to show his incredible range.  in 2016 he was the best OF in the game from a defensive standpoint.

Problem is WAR heavily over values fielding. 2014 Juan Lagares played exceptionally in CF, bat like .280 and did nothing else. WAR was like 3 something which is crazy.
