8 players Reject Qualifying Offer

8 players rejected their qualifying offers today.

Madison Bumgarner, Gerrit Cole, Stephen Strasburg, Anthony Rendon, Josh Donaldson, Marcell Ozuna, Zack Wheeler, and Will Smith all rejected their offers.

Will Smith signed a 3 year deal with Atlanta. SF will receive a draft pick as compensation.

Jose Abreu and Jake Odirizzi accepted their offers.

Not a real surprise about Abreu, but Odorizzi was contemplating his future for a few days before making this decision. He said it would be good to be back with his catcher and pitching coach, and that he felt really comfortable in the Twins' clubhouse.
On a personal note, as a Twins' fan I am happy that he will be back.
