We will be starting our 5th annual SI player rankings.  Last year we only go to the SF position, but I'm quite determined to get the rankings completely finished this year.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around. Nola and I will be guys running the polls in order to try to get this done this time around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

I think Klay, Butler, and Wade are super close. All different styles but all super effective obviously

You know, I honestly didn't realize Wade had such an effective season last year. I guess I just kind of assumed his stats regressed cause he's older.

I went with Butler. His ability to run and defend the PnR offensively and defensively is what pushed him ahead of Klay for me.

Otherwise they were very close.

Butler for me, he definitely took that next step and I think hes gonna be better next year with Hoiberg as his coach.

There's a top 5 player of all time on this poll and he's about to come back and fuck everyone's brains out, and you're all dumb.

Man, the 2 guard pool just gets more and more bleak as each year passes.

Kobe's going to make the top 10 somewhere. I didn't see KG averaging 22-6-6 but maybe I missed something

What NBA players couldn't put up that line if it was acceptable for him to shoot under 40% and control the ball that much?

Any player without his prestige would immediately start getting the ball less

Only five players in the league averaged 6 rebounds and 6 assists a game though, so not many

You need touches to average assists. He controlled the ball as much as a top flight PG does.

Does winning not apply to you when it comes to guys you like because everyone else here hates them?

I only voted for Buckets because I assumed JJ got #1, and didn't think he was on the poll.

Not a player in the world could win with the roster they had last year
