NFL Network's Michael Lombardi "fully expects" the 49ers to be in on Marc Bulger once free agency kicks off.
Lombardi is tight with 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. Bulger was impressive in practices for John Harbaugh last season, so it's a good bet that his brother has the full scoop. San Fran is one of nearly a dozen teams looking to draft a quarterback in the first couple of rounds of the draft. Bulger could serve as a bridge to the next franchise QB.

This isn't really any sort of surprise. Harbaugh is going to either hope he can snag Gabbert if he slips up in the Draft, or he is going to hope that he can pull in a smart, experienced FA guy to run his offense till he can get the gun slinger of the future.

Man, please don't do this.

If they got Bulger, I don't see how that'd help anything. Might as well suck another year and hope for Luck

It just shows the lack of faith in Alex Smith to lead this team. It's time for a new home for him.

Yeah Alex Smith needs to leave. But I don't think Bulger is the answer.

Hi, I am here as a member of a league called the EFL.

The EFL is a simulation league where you can make your OWN player, choose your favorite position, and play fantasy football year round. Sound cool? Of course it does! Read on.

Football players in real life have various different types of attributes that make them great, and your player does too. You can make him a speed receiver, a head hunting safety, a lazer throwing quarterback, or an all around halfback. You get to earn points and CUSTOMIZE your players attributes to make him a superstar in the EFL!

Then, you will be drafted to a team where you will have the ability to earn points to make your player the best! After that, we will throw him into the Madden Franchise and display live games via a video feed. You can watch your player live!

Put simply, the EFL is a collection of people that love fantasy football that put a personal touch on it. We're about to have a draft within the coming weeks, and we would love to have many new people. It's absolutely free, and if you have any questions, come check us out and we'll be happy to answer any of them.

You might as well come check it out, it's a 100% free league and there's nothing better to do in the off-season anyway. Am I right?

Thanks,
Zach

I think the 9ers are in the Kevin Kolb sweepstakes.

Think about it, Cam Newton is set to visit:
Carolina- 1st pick
Denver- 2nd pick
Buffalo- 3rd pick
Cincy- 4th pick
Tennessee- 8th pick
Washington- 10th pick

The only teams he isn't visiting is Arizona, Cleveland, Dallas, and San Fran.
