We will be starting our 3rd annual SI player rankings. The first year we did this it sparked great debate, I'm hoping to get back to that this year. Unfortunately last year I did not finish the rankings for whatever reason, but this year we need to all make it a goal to finish them. We'll be going 10 deep this year.

Remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer. I will leave the polls open at my own discretion. Most will be open 24 hours, but if there is one where it's a clear runaway then there is no point in delaying the voting.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.

Going to be very little consensus for the remaining 5.

I went with Eric as well. Considered both Johnson and Manu, but neither get it done defensively as they get older like Eric does.

Manu just came off one of his worst NBA seasons.

And he probably cost the Spurs a title. Or you could throw the blame at Pop for continuously playing him

Just not as good as he once was. Maybe that's because he's really declined, or he's just on a team where he doesn't have to do as much.

Voted Gordon although Thompson was right there. The thing i don't get is how JR Smith made it at 5. I'd consider him maybe 7. He plays one side of the ball and is very very streaky at that.
