I have been impressed by Aaron Judge in the field. He is much more than just a hitter. He is a complete player. He can run well for any player, not just for a big guy. He is an excellent baserunner. He throws well, and seldom throws to the wrong base. He takes good routes to balls in the gap and corner. I wonder if he will be the next $400MM player when he is up for FA?
One would have thought so. Unfortunately, the Astros' hitters had seen all of the Yankee bullpen arms quite a bit and knew their stuff pretty well. Chapman's velo was down a bit last night and it cost him. He did not command his fastball very well and relied on his slider. He got beat on one that he didn't grip well and it hung for Altuve to hammer, and Altuve didn't miss it.
