Bumgarner to the Diamondbacks

5/$85MM is the report. Quite a surprise, IMO. I'm sure he turned down more money for the familiarity.

Romo back to the Twins

Per MLB Network. No details are available at this time.
Not the pitcher he was 5 years ago, but still a reliable late inning arm.

They have definitely helped their team this off season. More pop from the offense and better defense.

1-year deals for each of these guys. Neither is an "ace" but both should be solid contributors. The Twins rotation should be OK once Pineda is back from his suspension and Hill has recovered from his surgery.

According to Ken Rosenthal and reported on MLB Network and in The Atlantic, the Red Sox were caught using their video room to steal signs in the 2018 regular season -- after the warnings from the commissioner's office.

TRADE DETAILS
Rays to get:
OF José Martínez, OF Randy Arozarena, Competitive Balance Round A Draft pick (38th overall)
Cardinals to get: LHP Matthew Liberatore, C Edgardo Rodriguez, Competitive Balance Round B Draft pick (66th overall)
Speculation is that Liberatore may be packaged as a part of another trade (Arenado?)

That's an interesting theory. I hadn't heard a strong link there.

The worst thing the Cardinals can do with this deal is pick up a potential #1 starter. They could flip him for several players, though.
