They SHOULD offer Hayward or Brown IMO. Then filler/picks.

I'd assume the Spurs will try for Tatum and be rejected.
tatum is untouchable
there is not a player in the league i would trade him for

And if im San Antonio i dont want hayward

I agree, which is why I said Spurs will want Tatum and probably say the deal is off without him, but the Celtics won't budge.

And yeah sometimes its hard to tell what the Spurs want. But I think they'd want Brown and Tatum for sure. Probably Rozier too. But Hayward's contract would make things easier from a matching prospective, kinda. Plus the Celtics may not be thrilled with Kawhi and Haywards max contracts when they still need to bring back Kyrie in a year.

From the ESPN trade machine, that won't work. They'd have to include Monroe or Baynes to get the salary up.

Yeah I know the ESPN machine isn't perfect. But how would that work?

Kawhi is $20m next season. Morris is $5m, Brown is $5m, Yab is $2m, Roz is $3m, Nader is $1m. I guess since i'm rounding down that could get there. To me the Spurs would only want Brown, Roz and the Kings 19 pick. So the rest is fodder.

Lakers would have to offer Ingram and Kuz to challenge that offer.

Morris $5.38M
Brown $5.17M
Rozier $3.05M
Yabu $2.67M
Nader $1.38M

Total: $17.64M x 1.25 = $22.04M

Kawhi at $20.099M fits under that. You can acquire up to 125% of the salary sent out, plus $100K. So as long as Kawhi is under $22.04M, you can do that deal

So actually you dont even need Nader; I was putting $20.99 instead of $20.099 for Kawhi

Much better offer (assuming the kings pick is included) than the Lakers will probably shoot out there. I'd prefer Kawhi in Boston over LA.

I think the Spurs would be happy with Brown and Rozier, but they will want a lot of picks I think in addition to them.

I mean its fillers essentially

itd be jaylen, the kings pick, and the grizz picks that are actually of value to the Spurs. Maybe Rozier but doubt that

And look, Ive never said Boston presented the best offer (assuming were being logical that Ainge isnt moving Tatum). Im just saying thats the offer most likely, unless the Spurs are dumb and offer Smart a contract that Bogans got (aka $40M/3 years, where the last 2 years arent guaranteed and he gets cut)

Celtics: Brown, Roz, picks Kings, Grizz
Lakers: Kuz? Ingram/Ball, future pick?
Hornets: Kemba + 11th pick?
Clippers: lol yeah right
Knicks: yeah no
Kings: #2 pick and Buddy?

Any other offers you guys think may happen?
