I honestly believe LeBron doesn't give a crap about winning. Sure it'd be a hell of a bonus to win a ring in LA, but he knows damn well he could've made plenty of decisions that would get him closer to a title. So while I do think he's gonna try to get Kawhi, I don't think he cares that much.

the Lakers dont have the cap space to outright sign him, so itd have to be a S&T, but at his $32.4M price, not his $20.1M current salary.

In either scenario, if you want Kawhi you have to move either Lonzo or Ingram for salary purposes. So why not do it now? They probably wouldnt have to move picks if they did it in a year, but theyre late lotto picks if they have Lebron and Kawhi and one of Lonzo/Ingram anyways, and I would hardly say Kuzma is a dealbreaker of a trade asset. Sure youd prefer to keep him but hes in the lines of value to Saric or Rozier...

Like if youre looking at Philly or Boston, would they be dumb to reject the trade because they dont want to move their own pick along with Saric/Rozier? Yes. The same applies with LA.

Youre going to lose Ingram anyways. Just get the deal done now to have an extra year of Kawhi on the team
