Boston has to move $15,999,200 in salary at the bare minimum to acquire Kawhi.

Obviously Jaylen, and probably both the Kings and Grizzlies picks have to go too, and Id be fine with that. Our starting five man rotation is full anyways.

Subtract Jaylens salary and youre at $10.83M to move. So ideally you could create a sign-and-trade for the matching salary (It would have to be a 3 year deal, but the last two years are non-guaranteed and he would be cut after year 1). I originally slotted Marcus Smart for that, but tbh thats technically lesser value than hed get on the open market and being an RFA if one team offers him anything he cant be in the S&T.

Greg Monroe, however, would be perfect for this scenario. And theyd probably just buy him out mid year anyways.


So Jaylen, 2019 SAC, 2019 LAC (unlikely to convey but why not), 2019 MEM 1st, and Greg Monroe S&T. If you have to throw in Rozier and lower Monroes deal, thats fine


I do need to read in the CBA a little more though. I think its a valid trade, but it might not due to aggregation. Ill check though

To me thats a better offer than the Lakers will do. Lakers may offer Kuz + Ball + Deng for him. Kuz is very nice, Ball could still be very nice. But I don't know.
