Its amazing, or embarrassing, that they were the worst team with one of the highest payrolls last year. They have been bit hard by some of the big deals they gave out

You better hope that doesn't happen to the Stros when Altuve is at the end of his mega contract.  That was a HUGE contract and I can't say he'll live up to it until I see it.

Right now they are, but an injury, the end of the contract, who knows then. One bad year and he isn't worth that contract. Its hard to believe Altuve will keep the same numbers he has now moving forward for every year. Might even have a bad year somewhere.

I'm just looking at their roster.  A lot different than last year.  Kemp is one of the washed up guys.  They'll likely be okay throughout the year, but they're not the dominant Dodgers of last year who took off until the end of the season.  They're not going to be.
 
I'm not saying they will be a mess all season, I'm saying they're a mess now.

I just don't see any other clear favorite.  I love the Rockies but just don't think they have enough.  They got lucky last year.
 
Oh and didn't those "awful" Giants win two games against the Dodgers as well?
