Watching kinsler hit is depressing. 6 LOB already with two strikeouts.
Do we know why the lefthand hitting Holt is not playing second?

I'd honestly be down for Cora leaving Porcello in for the ninth.

I don't have the blood pressure for Kimbrel to walk three guys.

Price was okay. Offense is waking up. Bullpen looked great.

It's almost as if a series isn't decided in one game. Exhale, un-clench, and let it unfold...

The Red Sox had to win this game.  They could not hope to win the series going to Houston down 0-2.  The Astros go home where they play really well and the fans will be rocking.  Now, Sale goes to the hospital with a stomach ailment.  I hope it isn't serious, as he is supposed to start game 5.  If he can't go, the Sox are in a lot of trouble.

The Sox are in trouble even if he does start. He clearly hasn't been himself.

Well, it was a good regular season at least, but the Red Sox look totally overmatched in this ALCS.
My bad. I lost faith to quickly.

A little bit of a reverse from the first game insofar as the Astros were the more erratic of the two teams — though not egregiously so. Neither starter pitched all that well, but neither did they pitch terribly, both of them yielding 4 earned runs by the time they departed.

The Boston bullpen was stronger in this outing, at least until there were two outs in the ninth, at which point Kimbrel faltered a bit when he faced the top of the order.

Leadoff hitters Springer and Betts are doing an equally good job setting the tables, but the 2/3/4 hitters for both clubs are still scuffling a bit (in his defense, Bregman has not gotten much to hit, having walked 6 times in 9 plate appearances).

The McCullers/Maldanado link proved unfortunate for Houston in the 7th, as Betts scored from first on a wild pitch and two passed balls.

Not a sterling game, but definitely a competitve one (like the series thus far)..

Ready for game 3
I think Buehler is up for it

I really really hope the boys light up chacin

But if we do I'm guessing gio and whoever come in to neutralize the lefties

Game 4 is the Brewers bullpen game imo

This pretty much sums up the entire relationship between this Red Sox team and this forum. Almost sounds like a book title. "I lost faith too quickly" - The 2018 World Series Champions and the sports forum that never believed in them"

Pretty good series so far. Should be a pretty low scoring game tonight with the wind blowing straight in pretty good

Dodgers are in big trouble if they don't tie this game before Hader comes in

Whoever replaces Chacin will be a lefty

The only issue with heavy platoons is when the other team goes along with it and neautralizes a side. In this case the dodgers lefties
