Also capela went 29/21 today
Quietly averaging 17/12. Will he be an all star? Probably not but maybe he should...

Just to play devil's advocate here

Kobe Bryant
1080 games played from 2000-
448 games with 30+ points (41.48%)
81 games with 10+ assists (7.5%)

James Harden
501 games played from 2012-
206 games with 30+ points (41.17%)
152 games with 10+ assists (30.34%)

I took out data from each players first four seasons, as it skewed both numbers down significantly. Since Harden joined Houston, he's putting up 30+ just as frequently as Kobe did, while putting up 10+ assists more than four times as often.

Hes been great though. Dont want to take anything away from him. But comparisons to Kobe can only be made on one side of the ball

I'm still a Kobe hater but he did some things much better than Harden. I just always see Kobe as a chucker. His eFG% numbers were pretty good but man he just jacked up a ton of shots. 13 seasons over 20 shots a game. Got as high as 27 shots a game.

But he didn't have to draw fouls like Harden does, and played much better defense.

Harden is real good though.

he put up 27 shot a game but his %s were never awful for the amount of attempts he took.

If you were playing alongside Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, and Kwame Brown, you'd chuck too

The thing with Kobe is they were better as a team when he deferred
Reminds me of Westbrook in that regard

Less is more

Harden on the other hand can carry a team to actual wins because he's an elite playmaker

I called this guy at idiot lmao. Couldn't wait to throw it in his face when he was talking shit about the early season Rockets who lacked serious depth....

"They have no shot at a high seed. They have to climb 10 teams" lmao. These idiots seem to forget they play 82 games...

That's why I've just been sitting here worry free

Cut to the playoffs when Harden disappears and they need Chris Paul to carry them

I knew that was going to be brought up haha.

And yeah no one cares about regular season Rockets. They'll do good. Playoffs it'll be interesting.

I think your mis-remembering the playoffs

But anyways, no one can do it alone. He had a good series against the warriors. 41 in game 1, 32 in games 6 and 7

Kobe couldn't advance without Pau or Shaq
