Why is that funny? There are loads of players who have taken less money for a situation.

Theres two cases:
Veterans voluntarily signing for the minimum with a contending team to try and win a ring (I.e. David West)

Or a low risk flyer on fringe players who cant get a better offer anywhere else.

Which category do you think Rose was in?

But thats not to say that any other team interested in him didn't offer him more. Yes he was fringy due to injuries, but Rose wants to hoop. If a team offered him more than min, but said, hey you'll be 3rd string and probably won't play, he'll go to Thibs who he likes and play there for less.

Either way its still what I said, some players choose situation over money. Monroe did it too with the Bucks instead of the Knicks, if I remember right.

Thats fine. Thats why it was low risk for Minnesota. Im just arguing DJT saying being on the veteran minimum isnt a big deal.

Teams just dont wanna risk signing injury prone players to a long contracts which is understandable

Doesnt mean that a HEALTHY Rose dosny belong in the league

Rose just looks different this season

Confident is the word. He looks like hes not thinking about getting hurt which used to be his biggest problem mentally

Hes straight just hoopin this season

The entire city buzzin on Rose today. Man it brings back a lot of feels

Heard like 4 convos already while walking downtown

Had 3 convos with random ass people myself

Saw 3 jerseys over hoodies today

Man oh man if he never got hurt. 28 years old right now, he’d be peaking. Bulls would be the best team in the East

Not about the money for someone who has so much and who has been through so much, he said it himself

Going to the Wolves was the most ideal comfortable familiar situation for him

Is not about the money guys

The team with teague, tyus, Jamal last year was the best fit for Rose

Depends on how much more, I don't think he chooses a worse situation for $1M more, that doesn't make a difference to someone with over $20M coming in annually from Adidas, if it were like $6/$7M more, then year he's gonna take the money cause it would be stupid not to

so again, to cc and my point -- drose was not getting a good nba contract from any team (also he's making $8.5M from Adidas this year, just semantics). whether its the league $2.4M minimum, or a team offering him a whopping $4M per year, its nothing substantial because sans-yesterday he hasnt shown to be worth more than that

It depends on what the situation was. If it was a team that had several good PGs and probably wouldn't give him any minutes, like just a mentor role, no playing, then yes I think he'd take the min.
