I was a fan of his early. Sophomore year at Oklahoma I think it was.

I started senior year at Oklahoma when he was getting so much hype, like the rest of the world.

Context time

Among NBA players that play 25 minutes a game and have played 40+ games, Jaylen Brown is ranked 146/149 in terms of touches, at 31.7 (I assume per game?). For reference, Brandon Ingram has 59.6 touches, and Buddy Hield 56.3.

In the same qualifiers, Jaylen is 7th in the league in points per touch, just behind James Harden in 6th.

Obviously, that high of a ranking is the product of sample size clearly, and he's probably closer to being the 150th best player in the league than he would be 10th. But let's stop talking about Hield and Sabonis (lmao) being better than the guy who doesn't get the opportunity to prove himself at all. Last time he had real opportunity, he averaged 18ppg in 32 min on 39% 3pt shooting during the playoff run.

You can't rank Jaylen with those guys right now because he's in a much more challenging situation

Bosox do you hope Jaylen gets traded so he can start getting more touches? Or just for Boston to wait for his moment?

I'll stop when you cease telling us that a backup PF was the 3rd best player in a fucking draft

Ideally, I want Brad to figure out the system where nobody is fucking lazy and our second unit just smashes theirs. We certainly have the talent for it.

But yeah I'd love to see Jaylen beast out the way Lavine does on a shitty non-contender.

And also lets just only talk scoring and ignore how much better Jaylen and Ingram are defensively than Hield is btw

I'm aware Jaylen comes off the bench; I'm not rushing to hypotheticals here. In a re-draft, it should go Simmons-Ingram-Jaylen. Period. #4 I'd probably go Jamal Murray personally at this point

You can't just base off current performance like they aren't going to develop. Ingram and Jaylen have 4 more years before they hit Hield's age, and by then I'd very likely say both surpass Hield's value.

I see Jaylen misused by this team, and when he's on his game he's a stud. Just might not be with this team that he shows it
