I wouldn't say it isn't close. I'd take harden

But you do realize he's in a system that made Jeremy Lin look like an all-star, right?

Man of man if harden was in okcs system, no one would even be on his wagon just like the last however many years. Mikes system has made everyone a believer

Just imagine russ with all those opens lanes instead of adams and taj clogging the paint. My oh my!! 35/15 on the season with the shooters around him. For him to even get 11 with the scrubs is just amazing

Lowry is apparently interesting in the Sixers

Hmmm what yall think? Takes away too much from simmons maybe? Or maybe could play more off ball. If embiid and the rest stay healthy, could be interesting for the regular season

It'd work out great for Lowry because he wouldn't have to worry about the playoffs

Sign and trade? Idk

It's not as hard as the Celtics make it look to move guys in the NBA

Im aware its not super hard to move guys, but for OKC's situation it really is.

Because OKC is so over the cap, they have to match salary to make it work. Blake will make $30.6M in his max contract next year, but for hypothetical's sake lets create a range of $26-31M needed to match the salary (I'd be 100% shocked if Blake took less money to play for the Thunder, but let's just go with it)

Obviously Westbrook won't be involved, so he's pointless to mention in salaries. The next highest are as follows

Steven Adams -- $22.5M (FA in in 2021-22)
Victor Oladipo -- $21M (FA in 2021-22)
Enes Kanter -- $17.9M (FA in 2019-20)
Alex Abrines -- $5.8M (RFA in 2019-20)
Kyle Singler -- $4.7M (FA in 2019-20)
Doug McDermott -- $3.9M (RFA in 2018-19)
Domantas Sabonis -- $2.6M (RFA in 2020-21, un-guaranteed in 2018-19)

I also believe within the rules of sign-and-trades that you can't involve other S&Ts in the trade (like you can do Blake for Andre Roberson straight up if the salaries are equal, but you cannot add Roberson in the deal to make the salary work)

For the Clippers, I wouldn't want Oladipo really due to that ugly contract, and while Adams is a beast I question his effectiveness alongside DeAndre Jordan in todays evolving small-ball game. Like I guess they could take Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, Alex Abrines, Domantas Sabonis, and future picks for Blake, but then at point does Blake want to leave the Clippers for this Thunder team that would have the exact same problems as the current LAC team only magnified.

You'd go from Jordan, Luc, Redick, and CP3 to Adams, an overpaid Roberson, Oladipo, and Westbrook. That's not improving at all, and you're taking less money for it too. I get that its "home" but you'd lose salary, sponsorship and marketing, all while maintaining a similar lack of success.

Is it possible? Technically, yes. Is it going to happen? Absolutely not.

And this has absolutely zero to do with the Celtics, it has to do with the best situation for Blake. He should either be going for the money (LA) or to a team that can provide him a better chance at winning, whether that's Boston or Miami or Utah or somewhere else. OKC doesn't provide either of that for him

it all depends what route the clippers take this off season and if they do any other movement

A sign and trade could easily happen. If they decide to blow it up and get younger, why not take kanter + . Not sure if blakes old injury prone self has THAT much value these days

If they would wanna get extra young , they can also sign JJ for that 20ish mill he wants and include him in there for kanter + dipo + abrines or something. Oladipo > redick value wise anyway so the overall trade would be pretty fair imo

Its definetly possible. Is it a slim chance? Sure, but u never know

Before you say kanter + dipo + wouldnt be enough, remember that teams never get the same value back for older stars
