I think it runs better with someone the Caliber of Steph and KD. And I think the numbers show they are significantly better with Steph on the floor than on the bench. Maybe some of the has to do with KD, maybe not

Well, duh. That's not the question at hand here
 
The Warriors don't need a "point guard" on the floor at all times. Between Curry, Durant, Iguodala, Livingston, and Draymond they have guys that can run the point on set plays. But their offense is best just using motion cuts and swinging the ball around to find open shooters/backdoor cuts. You don't need Curry on the floor but obviously you do better when he's on

My point was they would be better off with Steph on the floor when KD is on the bench
