Because the only downside to Isaiah is his defense. Offensively he's clearly a max player, and that's not even debatable. The only reason not to give him a max deal is his recent hip injury, and his defensive "woes".
 
But those defensive "woes" are literally shared by Westbrook as well. Players shoot within 3% of Westbrook as they do Isaiah, as I clearly pointed out in my post earlier. Teams shoot very well against both of them, yet you clearly neglect Westbrook's defensive inefficiencies. I don't care if RW has a ton more defensive ability -- if he doesn't utilize it, its pointless.
 
Isaiah is definitely worth a max in today's nba

No they fucking wouldn't. The fact that you don't realize the difference between a player who is terribly defensively and a player who does not play his hardest over 48 minutes is baffling to me.
