Knowing how Toronto was over the cap without Lowry under contract, yes it makes sense to pay him because otherwise they're just a 6/7 seed and a first round exit
Theyre a second round exit team anyway, dude disappears in the playoffs

Should trade him and rebuild

Swaggy P possibly to the Warriors lol

Like this for him, the warriors give their shooters the green light. He should have a good year there

Also because Melo has final say due to his NTC (aka "dont even try to trade me to sacramento") and with his 15% trade kicker you have to move $31M in salary or have $31M in cap space (or a combination of both) to acquire him, where he'll opt out next year and you have no promise of a return

Like if the Celtics were to strike out on Hayward, they'd have to move Bradley and Smart just to allow Anthony's trade kicker to pass through. Its a whole lot for him, and I think teams would rather go into a bidding war after a buyout than to go trade for him. Personally I think if Melo bought into the team basketball identity he'd be a great fit with the Celtics.

Yea im with you on that one

He will prolly be bought out for sure

Also dont know if Melo would buy into what you guys are doing just bc if he went to the celtics he would feel like hes the man, even tho those days are over

If he went to the Cavs, Lebron would get his ass to do whats needed. Think the Cavs is better for his head

[ $30,864,198 , $33,333,333 , $35,802,469 ]

That's what I expect Lowry's contract to be broken down into, if the $100M is an exact and not an estimate.
