If utah has room for both, thats pretty appealing

Obviously hill is gone then and ingles too since someone will pay him for sure

Maybe exum gets better and could run the point. Like rodney hood

Obviously nothing special but pretty cool

Some crazy ass trade being discussed that has Kyrie going to Utah and George Hill, Paul George going to Cleveland

Wonder what else Utah would have to give up. No way Kyrie resigns with Utah, unless Hayward stays and they do major damage next year

Cavs would be dumb to trade Kyrie period IMO. Probably better to trade him now than next year when he demands it anyways. At least it gives Cleveland one more year of relevance before it goes back to being known as the home of the Browns

Trading Kyrie for PG and a solid point guard is an upgrade

Okay so I made a lot more progress than I thought on this lol, and granted it might not be accurate but it seems like it is. Imma list the salaries post-tax for Phoenix, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, and Utah (since its the same money for Hayward's situation too) , and this all does include a 5% agent fee that is applied as well

Phoenix -- $114,612,636 over four years ($28,653,159 average)
Boston -- $113,174,542 over four years ($28,293,636 average)
Miami -- $116,238,725 over four years ($29,059,681 average)
Los Angeles -- $145,905,729 over five years ($29,181,146 average), $112,699,598 over four years ($28,167,399 average)
Utah -- $152,642,198 over five years ($30,528,440 average), $117,902,939 over four years ($29,475,735 average)
How is this a post tax salary? And how is Miami's lower than Utah when Miami doesn't have income tax and Utah does?

I did the following steps:

1. Took the max salary for next year ($29.7M) and applied a standard 5% agent fee, which dropped it to $28.2M

2. Laid out each game's salary with that state's income tax deductions (shown in the image below). Utah plays 41 home games, 1 road game vs every East team, and 2 road games vs every West team (except for three of them are only 1 road game, and I chose the ones with the highest tax percentages; technically its a 5 year rotation but I didn't want to go THAT far into detail). So playing two games @ Denver with their 6.3% income tax means Hayward would make over $644K over the two games ( [$28.2M] x [2/82] x [1 - 0.063] )

3. Then I added all the games together to get the 82 games combined salary, for what they actually would earn in Year 1 post-taxes. Then I multiplied that by the 5/8% raises depending on situation to get Year 2's salary and went from there to get the 4 or 5 year contracts

--------

The reason Utah is slightly more than Miami is because he would receive 5% raises in Miami but 8% in Utah. 41 games in Miami is more than 41 games in Utah per standard ($14.1 v $13.4) but Miami's only increases by $705K per season where Utah's increases by $1.072M. That's why Hayward would make roughly $300K more per year in Utah than Miami, even with no FL income tax

While discussing a trade with the Indiana Pacers for Paul George, the Boston Celtics have not yet included Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Brooklyn's 2018 first round pick or the 2018 Lakers' pick/2019 Kings pick in their offers.

Boston is reluctant to trade for George knowing he could be a one-year rental.

Indiana is reportedly seeking both the Brooklyn and Lakers/Kings pick from the Celtics for George, as well as starting player(s). Some combination of Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley will likely be offered.

The Celtics have become famously reluctant to trade away any of their best assets and Danny Ainge has even suggested their impressive asset depth has caused teams to unfairly ask them for too much in trade discussions.
I can't breathe
