Youre just speculating that both of them will be on the lakers just because theyre free agents next summer

Over the years theres been soo many playsrs who fans thought were going to sign with the lakers and they never did

We'll see

I like the clippers idea because they dont have a championship in their books. As long as hes the franchise player of all time im fine with it IF he leaves okc. With lakers he would only be in like the top 8, too many legends. Russ does his own thing, he'd want clippers over lakers

Hed want the Clippers over the Lakers because the Lakers can afford 2 maxes if some idiot takes on Dengs contract for nothing, where as the Clippers can afford 3 maxes if they let Deandre walk

Westbrook on the Lakers without another max is a very insignificant upgrade from the Thunder

Spurs

The only only team id be extremely happy about if he signed with IF he leaves okc

Only has kawhi, and of course the great coach pops

I want Russ to play under a great coach who would actually hold him accountable for the shit he does sometimes, his game would elevate with pops. Hes never had a coach like that

Before u say russ isnt for the spurs culture/system, we all know pops always adjusting to the now and and believe he wouldnt be against teamming up kawhi and russ together. Would be one of the best duos of all time

Pops saw how close russ and KD were with meh coaching. He'd get kawhi and him to the next level. With lma possibly leaving and them having a shit ton of money(bosox double check)next summer, id be very very down. Only franchise i truly respect in this league besides the bulls

Russ and kawhi are also very close friends and both from LA area so this would be awesome. Love kawhi

The thought and hope that theres still somewhat of loyalty left in this soft ass league would definetly be dead

2018 FA values

OKC -- $209,090,000 / 5yr, $161,504,000 for the first 4 yrs ($40,376,000 average), $47,586,000 in Year 5
SAS -- $155,015,000 / 4yr ($38,753,750 average)

It's a difference of ~$1.6M plus the fifth year lost (before taxes) for Westbrook to go elsewhere

Hows the spurs cap situation for next summer? Assuming LMA is off the books

But also this is why Deandre Jordan is the most upset CP3 is leaving.

Because Deandre has made the All-NBA teams the past two seasons, he's eligible for the "supermax" come next season. That's the same $209M contract as above for Westbrook... for Deandre Jordan.

But if the Clippers don't trade him this offseason, but let him walk as well, his new max for new teams is $132.87M over four years. He loses over $74M by the Clippers not wanting him

If you assume Lamarcus is opting out and leaving, as is Danny Green (as he fucking should, he deserves way more than $10M), if the Spurs were to waive all their cap holds, they're currently looking at $20.099M in salary... aka literally just Kawhi lol

More of a net loss of like 40 mil considering he'd still be payed that 5th year somehow somewhere. Not sure to what extent, but yeah.

Still fucked

But like if he went Yao/Oden injured himself so badly that he's not getting another contract he just lost $76M

but yea its $39.14M lost over the four years

I could prolly fuck with that if he does actually leave. Clippers dont got a championship and the roster wouldnt be filled with stars. As long as he doesnt jump on some wagon and its his team but he aint leaving okc

I meant he wouldnt be joining an established team that already has their core. He'd wanna start with his own fresh core. He wouldnt be joining cp3 blake dj for example. The clippers would start from scratch. Not saying clippers wouldnt sign other good players

Seems like a bit of a contradiction, no?
