What i truly think these reports are about

Boston is taking Fultz, and everybody knows that. Philly however, wants Fox or Monk, both are considered slight reaches at 3 and can be had later

So philly releases a bunch of info to the media on how in love they are with fultz. they send out rumors about a potential celtics trade, which gains traction because everyone knows ainge loves to trade. but when boston takes fultz #1, now philly seems more likely to trade out to the rest of the league because their guy is gone, therefore creating more of a trade market for them to fall to #5 and take Monk or Fox and pick up value from the kings

Are we really forgetting Danny Ainge right now? Who he is, how he is, in regards to the hoarding of his assets all these years? 
 
Nobody overhypes the Celtics assets more than Bill Simmons, and myself probably second. But right next is Danny Ainge, who has been trying to do again what he did to Billy King in every single deal he encounters. He's gonna see "trade for #1 overall" and expect fucking embiid in return or something.

Also can we talk about how hysterical this would end up -- Boston trades down to 3, and then the Lakers take Jackson... meaning Lavar Ball is going to have to choose between two options

2. rooting for his child to make his new team, the Boston Celtics, the new best team in the league, and thats as a huge Lakers fan

I bet the Celtics trade #3 for Jimmy Butler or some star like that. They know #1 is more valuable than him, and the Bulls or other teams probably demanded #1 just because Boston had it. Now they can trade #3, but also end up keeping some of the other picks they get from Philly.
