Paul-Harden-Melo is an insane trio offensively. The whole reason Melo's struggled in parts of his career is because he's had to do absolutely everything for the team on offense, and the one year he had legitimate help of someone who could create his own shot (JR's 18ppg in 2012) they won 54 games.
 
He'll get to play with two of the Top 4 ball handlers in the league now, and he could very easily turn into the dominant off-ball scorer that he has shown us in USA Basketball.
 
 
Sure, defense will be a question for the team. That same statement was made before last year as well, and they won 55 games still. They're gonna be really freaking good

I don't think it will work because I've seen Melo and d'Antoni fail to co-exist. It wasn't because he had to "do everything" - he didn't want to run the fast-paced offense Mike wanted to run. I have a hard time believing he's going to buy right into it.
