I hope people understand how much losing Smart will hurt the Celtics

The expectations should be lowered if he’s out for the year

With Marcus smart maybe his hand was sensitive

He did after all self inflict his last injury by hitting a glass photo at the hotel like a dumb fuck

he dove to get a loose ball and his thumb bent back too far. it has nothing to do with punching a mirror

lmfao

when boston hosts the wizards tomorrow night, boston will be without:

• Starting SF Gordon Hayward, ankle, out for the season (likely)
• Starting SG Jaylen Brown, concussion, out indefinitely
• Starting PG Kyrie Irving, knee, out "day-to-day" (recurring injury from 2016, contemplated surgery for it this offseason)
• Starting PF/C Al Horford, undisclosed illness, return unk
• #2 PG Marcus Smart (best defensive player), thumb, out indefinitely (possibly for the season)
• #2 C Daniel Theis, knee, out for the season

That leaves Boston with the following roster

STARTING FIVE: G Larkin - G Rozier - F Tatum - F Morris - C Baynes
BENCH: G K.Allen - G J.Bird - G Nader - F Ojeleye - F Yabusele - C Monroe

For those counting, 7 of those players were not on an NBA roster last season. That's the same lineup quality as teams like Dallas and Atlanta, whom are openly tanking the season, not the 2 seed in the East

But yeah, no, everybody deals with injuries...

Hang on I gotta get out in front of something as well

I hope everyone realizes the Celtics have a cake walk to the finals, Cavs are terrible and the Raptors, well we’ve seen that story before, no reason Celtics should miss the finals.

Ok ok glad I got that out of the way

i love shane's energy tbh. he cant be relied on for big minutes, but he's been clutch this year with some energy sparks to the team to make some comebacks.

That’s based purely off of a statistical model, they’ve been better so it’s really not a joke
