Never thought of this angle til now

With the lebron to the western conferencr rumors, people say he won't do it cause the west is harder than the east to make the finals especially vs. GSW

But there's also been talk about reseeding playoffs 1-16. Adam Silver pretty much said yesterday they're looking into doing that

So moving west won't matter. Why didn't we realize this sooner

The regular season would still be more taxing in the West than in the East if he were to care for a decent seed. Dude took like all of January off and had a completely dysfunctional team and the east was too shit to overtake them.

Still if I had to bet I'd say he moves West. He's not staying in Cleveland and no team in the East makes sense.

they want to do the 1-16 but want to ensure that two best teams meet in the finals. sounds like theyre thinking of ways to rig it already

Difference between east and west for scheduling isn’t that drastic. It’s been estimated that playing in one conference or the other is only worth about 2 wins either way

because thats using the weighted value that the bottom of the west is ass too (phoenix, lakers, mavs, etc)

guarantee lebron would much rather play toronto 4x and golden state 2x than the other way around

Every team plays the same 58 games regardless of conference, so there’s only 24 games that differ. Among those they play the same caliber opponent for probably like 18-20 of them. So yea obviously he’d rather do that but the difference in schedule difficulty isn’t that drastic

Last years Clippers finished with 51 wins, giving them the 4 seed in the West. They played the 51 win Jazz in the first round, and lost. The Cavs were the 2 seed with 51 wins and played the 42 win Pacers in the first round

Youre ridiculous if you dont think it matters. If the Clippers were in the East, they would have technically been the 2 seed playing Indy due to tiebreakers. Instead they lose in the first round of the playoffs because the West has stronger opponents
