its because he heard the rumors of him being traded in a deal to Phoenix where the Cavs would get back Eric Bledsoe, a Rich Paul client. By viewing at it from that outside perspective, it looks like the Cavs are solely just trying to keep Lebron from leaving (duh, I would do the same tactics) and that they would rather trade away Kyrie and downgrade at the point with Bledsoe just to keep Lebron happy.

That's how I viewed it, anyways. He's sick of being in Lebron's shadow, given no credit and not given the responsibilities of running the team, so he requests a trade after the Suns/Cavs/Pacers deal falls through
Except that deal was to get the #4 pick which was gonna be trade for PG, it had much less to do with getting Bledsoe than it had to do with getting PG. Why didn’t you even mention that?

IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF KYRIE IRVING

you're so unbelievably dense when it comes to kyrie, its annoying. Kyrie saw his name floated out there in trade rumors and was to be replaced by a Rich Paul client. Same reason Isaiah was pissed at Ainge for moving him for Kyrie, being replaced by Bledsoe was a slap in the fucking face for a franchise he wanted to be with... there was no love for him bringing them a title, it was just whatever Lebron wanted and therefore he was expendable in the mind of LeGM.

I really don't get how none of yall get this. he wants to be "the guy" (an alpha in paulie-talk) and he was solely considered side-change for whatever lebron wanted... so he requested out. its not even hard to get at all. this has nothing to do with paul george, because paul george wasn't replacing kyrie, he was to replace klove

If Lakers pick is #1 or #6-30
'18 LAL pick to PHI
'19 SAC pick to BOS if #2-30
'19 SAC pick to PHI if #1 (BOS receives '19 PHI)

If Lakers pick is #2-5
'18 LAL pick to BOS
'19 SAC pick to PHI, unprotected

What do you mean he was being replaced by Bledsoe? He was being replaced by Bledsoe AND Paul George, that’s not a downgrade for the Cavs. And nah this isn’t being dense about Kyrie

Where do you get Paul George was gonna replace KLove from? That’s a completely different trade. This trade was Kyrie to PHX for #4 and Bledsoe, #4 and salary (Frye) for PG

I think he just didn't like the paul and Jimmy rumors

Like he's been a huge part of 3 straight finals including one of the biggest shots ever and they entertained trading him. He's only 25 and was offended that they wanted to move him. Like he's hit his peak

And fuck Paul George anyway, he seems fake as fuck. A yes sir people pleaser, a follower

Out here treating that game last night like the biggest game of his career giving 30 minute interviews and what not, dropping some weird hints all over the place then out there laughing and having the best time with russ melo and the rest

Cant please the media, the lakers, the thunder and russ melo all together. Pick a lane and ride with one

The Warriors convincing him to come there was an all time finesse. Easy championships, less trying, and he's disposable.

Laker fans are ridiculous, mexi yall gotta chill

But yo bosox, you hear what Pierce said about his jersey retirement/ITs tribute on feb 11? Thoughts?

I kinda find it lame. Its PPs night, and a dude that played there for 2 seasons about to get a tribute. Wack

Kristaps Porzingis admitted that he’s feeling some wear and tear and is getting fatigued.

"I’m tired, I’m tired, I’m so tired right now,’’ Porzingis said after hitting 5-of-19 shots on Wednesday vs. the Spurs. "I have one day to rest my legs and get back and play better and have more energy and try to bring the team’s energy up. We’re in a tough stretch. The mental part doesn’t help at all. When it’s mentally tough, you don’t have it in you.’’ There's no indication that Porzingis is planning to sit out any games, but this isn't an encouraging quote for a player that hasn't proved that he can last through a full NBA season. Coach Jeff Hornacek said he may even consider reducing his touches, so this is something to keep an eye on

Lol yooo not my type of dude to start complaining about carrying the team 40 games into the season. Shut up and keep going
