A bad shot is a bad shot, a 30fter with 16 seconds left on the shot clock is a bad shot, and they took (take) that quality of shot a couple times. You can get that shot anytime you want with no resistance, run your offense and get that wide open great look we all know they would get and they probably win this game. I look back at Pop years ago, in that offense if you received the first pass how open you were didn't matter, you're passing that ball and getting another great/open look. It's all in the process.elcheato said:I'd put it solely on the turnovers. They take those shots every game.
Yes, a bad shot is a bad shot, but it's not a point worth bringing up or making when a team does it all the time, usually hits them at a good clip, and is still the best team in league history.nolafan33 said:A bad shot is a bad shot, a 30fter with 16 seconds left on the shot clock is a bad shot, and they took (take) that quality of shot a couple times. If it's taken over a year in which they won 67 games and the title followed by a 73-9 season to bite them in the ass I doubt it's a bad shot. Not for them. At some point Results>Process with a large enough sample size, and over two seasons is a big enough sample to suggest these aren't bad shotsnolafan33 said:A bad shot is a bad shot, a 30fter with 16 seconds left on the shot clock is a bad shot, and they took (take) that quality of shot a couple times. Clearly it does matter as they are trailing after one game, a game in which they likely win if their shot selection had been better. Nobody is asking them not to be gunners, nobody is asking Steph to not be Steph by not taking uncontested long range bombs with 8 seconds still on the shotclock, but there is no reason for them to take contested 30 footers with half the shot clock still remaining. The "well they take them and make them" isn't a good argument either, because last night they weren't making them. Kerr even alluded to how they can't afford to do this after the game.elcheato said:Yes, a bad shot is a bad shot, but it's not a point worth bringing up or making when a team does it all the time, usually hits them at a good clip, and is still the best team in league history.
This is like when you guys kept needing to point out early last season how Steph took bad shots all the time, as if it mattered.
It's how they play, it would be difficult to try to change the mindset of the team this late in the season. This wouldn't have even been a talking point if that Westbrook travel was called and the Warriors ended up taking the lead from there and winning.nolafan33 said:Clearly it does matter as they are trailing after one game, a game in which they likely win if their shot selection had been better.
