I don't know where I land on that. I mean you have to appreciate a guy wanting to go somewhere to maximize their winning potential, but at the same time I'm sort of getting tired of all these guys taking the easy out and joining these teams that are already title contenders

I'm gonna get flamed by everyone but nola, but I actually like Durant on the Pelicans.

Puts him on a team that would be a title contender, but one that isn't without him.

I think KD in Boston makes a lot of sense. Especially if they can find a way to add Horford.

To me the only reason he'd leave OKC would be for a bigger market. I'm still not really buying any of the Dubs or Spurs theories.

I can see Boston happening. (Even though that contradicts my previous post)

I think Boston is one of the worst options given their personnel. Durant gonna be happy kicking it out to the likes of Marcus Smart, Crowder, Turner, Sully, and the bevy of other horrible shooters they have? They'd have major moves to make to restructure their personnel, and not sure Ainge is willing to do that given his extreme stinginess.

Kyle Lowry is the 1st player in the shot clock era with 9 straight playoff games shooting under 40% while taking 10 or more shots

Damn, FPS with the legit analysis....

you arguably just listed all the main players we'd get rid of to get Durant

The only way to get KD is to have a plan super-set. Have a commitment to sign Horford, and try to get another star-level player (even someone Gordon Hayward level) via trading Smart, BKN pick, and Crowder (plus more). Isaiah cannot be the 2nd best player on the team with KD on roster for Durant to come here. But if he's the fourth? Completely different situation.

If the Celtics can run a line of Horford-Durant-Hayward-Bradley-Isaiah, that has to be inticing for KD. but we aren't getting KD without other moves -- that's for sure

What would stop the Lakers from making all of those same moves?

And you're talking about a total upheavel of your roster just so you can make a pitch to KD. That's just not something I see happening. If KD said "do all of this and I'll sign", that's different, but he isn't going to say that. And why is Horford just being pencilled into Boston as if it is a given?
