im with bosox here. at least let's see him play until the all star break to predict something like that happening in his career.
If you don't want me picking at your examples, don't give awful examples. If you want to get technical, did Mexi actually say he'd be in the club? Aren't there several guys that have done it that aren't technically in the club? I feel like Jose Calderon did itbosoxlover12 said:Lmfao classic job once again of taking literally the least important part of what I'm saying as excuse for bashing my statement. You never fail to disappoint...
I'm not saying he's gonna be fucking chucking up 8 threes a game like Reggie. But the 50/40/90 club, which only features Larry Bird, Mark Price, Reggie Miller, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, should not include a guy who takes one three point shot a game.

i think jose was like a % point away and lost it towards the end of the season. billups may have been close tooCameronCrazy06 said:If you don't want me picking at your examples, don't give awful examples. Calderon did it but didnt have enough free throws to qualifyPapa Pugzo said:i think jose was like a % point away and lost it towards the end of the season. billups may have been close too
yea, how many was he away from to qualify? it was close, right?CameronCrazy06 said:Calderon did it but didnt have enough free throws to qualify
No, it was you trying to say that he would never shoot 40% from three in a season because Reggie Miller didn't shoot 40% for his career.....bosoxlover12 said:It's not an awful example lol, its just you trying to spin every single post I say so it follows your asshole narratives.
Wikipedia claims 16 away but idk if I trust thatPapa Pugzo said:yea, how many was he away from to qualify? it was close, right?
i think its right ha. i thought it was closer to that but that does sound right.CameronCrazy06 said:Wikipedia claims 16 away but idk if I trust that
thats not at all what I said though.CameronCrazy06 said:No, it was you trying to say that he would never shoot 40% from three in a season because Reggie Miller didn't shoot 40% for his career.....
Luis Scola literally did just that this past year, except he only made 5 the year priorbosoxlover12 said:thats not at all what I said though.
Reggie Miller is known as one of the greatest 3pt shooters of all time. Saying Towns would shoot the same percentage as one of the greatest shooters is ridiculous for a guy who made only 30 threes
But this statement is so wrong though! Towns isn't going to be shooting the volume of shots as Miller, nor is he going to be taking threes with the degree of difficulty Miller did. It's going to be all wide-open, spot-up. We're talking about a guy who shot over 50% from mid range this year and developed into a 34% three point shooter in one year after making 2 at Kentucky. There's absolutely no reason why he can't shoot 40% from three.bosoxlover12 said:thats not at all what I said though.
