Shaq probably doesn't get traded, and yea, they coulda won more if not for Kobe driving him out.

It would have been hard to do though for the deal, since Kobe was making $1.2m and Hill making $5.8m in a time where the Lakers were over the salary cap. They would have had to move Robert Horry or Elden Campbell (who would be traded for Glen Rice; instrumental for their first title win) as well and then who knows at that point if LA does better


They got 5 rings and 7 Finals appearances with Kobe -- I think they're fine with how it played out
